4th of July Vacation

Date of Stay:

My Family and I stayed at this beautiful, cozy cabin over the 4th of July Holiday. The cabin was very clean, comfortable and exactly as it was discribed on the web site. We had a wonderful time in Big Bear, fishing, touring the lake on a Pirate ship and sliding down the water slide. It was nice to come back to the cabin where we could make our own meals and hang out in the backyard playing ping pong and relaxing in the jacuzzi. The best part was WALKING back from the lake to the cabin after the 4th of July fireworks as everyone esle had to deal with sitting in traffic. Guy was great to work with and was quick to respond to any questions that came up. We will definitely be back this Winter.

Great Trip!

Date of Stay:

We went for a girls weekend in Big Bear and the house was great! The back yard is very spacious and has a ping pong table, tent and hot tub. The inside of the house is cozy and well decorated. Also, within walking distance of the lake/swim beach. I would definitely stay at this house again!

Date of Stay:

We went midweek it was peaceful and relaxing. The Jacuzzi out back was awesome. Huge park a block from the cabin. The house is so beautifully decorated and I'll would love, love, love to go back again!!

A classy and warm home away from home!

Date of Stay:

Driving up to the cabin, I smiled at the wooden bears and moose keeping watch on the cabin. Pictures didn't do the place justice. From the slate floors, to the beautiful fireplace and the inviting jacuzzi in the backyard, this place has it all. Guy and Elaine seem to have thought of everything. The place has soft towels, a luxurious and comfortable bed in the master suite, a fully equipped kitchen, a stack-able washer/dryer, as well as board games in the living room and state of the art flat screen TV's in every room. Every inch of the cabin is packed with adorable nick knacks, as well as warm and homey quilts adorning the wood walls. In addition to the jacuzzi in the backyard, the hosts have also included a ping pong table, and a tent for "camping out". Coming back from an evening out, (the cabin is only a mile or so from downtown), the front of the cottage has a motion activated night as well as a lighted house number providing a sense of safety and security. I can't wait to stay again!

Cozy cabin!

Date of Stay:

This cabin was so warm and inviting! It's in a great location close to a park and great breakfast place! It's decor is beautiful with a stone fireplace and amazing woodwork with cozy Big Bear charm. It has a hot tub and ping pong table on the back patio with plenty of room for small to moderate entertainment. It's in a shady area of a quiet and safe neighborhood. Master bedroom is a great size and the second bedroom has bunk beds so there's more than adequate space for friends! I'd come here again for sure!

Darling & fun cabin!

Date of Stay:

My husband and I stayed a week at this DARLING cabin last summer. We loved it!! It was cozy and very nicely furnished. Everything was clean and well-kept. We fell in love with the town of Big Bear and enjoyed kayaking, hiking and walking through the village. There are several restaurants within walking distance of the cabin. And even better than that, there's a park just down the street that we walked to every night to enjoy the sunset over the water. We especially loved the hot tub in the backyard :) Our stay was quiet and cozy. It looks just like the pictures. The Maeda's are very hospitable and kind. They gave us all the information we needed and responded to questions very quickly. I heartily recommend this cabin. You must stay here! :) It's lovely.

Cozy and Comfortable

Date of Stay:

Felt like home! The place was just a small walk to the lake and a great diner. Nice and quiet getaway from the city. Great comfy furniture and a bed you could melt in. A great backyard with a separate game room, ping pong table, and a hot tub. A really great place inside and out, can't wait to go back!

Spacious and Inviting!

Date of Stay:

I felt at home as soon as I walked in. I was immediately impressed by the charming decor, cleanliness and over-all coziness. You can tell the owners completely outfitted the cabin to meet the needs of guests of all ages. There was so much attention to detail! I was pleasantly surprised by how short the walk was to Big Bear Lake. The location of this cabin is central to not only the lake, but The Village and The Summit, too. The highlight of the cabin is the spacious backyard that is complete with a jacuzzi spa, fire pit, and game room. My friends and I spent all afternoon playing pool and shooting darts all before a relaxing soak session in the jacuzzi. Serving a full meal here would not be a problem as the kitchen in equipped with all the essentials including an outdoor BBQ. The bed in the master bedroom was super comfy and the second bedroom conveniently has bunk beds and a TV. The bathroom and shower were beautifully modernized. I love the above-the-counter sink and floor-to-ceiling stone shower. Overall, I had a very pleasant stay here and would definitely recommend this cabin to my friends and family!

This is the nicest place we've stayed in Big Bear Lake over the past seven years!

Date of Stay:

We are from Scottsdale, Arizona and look forward to a cool week in the pines every summer. We are walkers and greatly appreciated the location and relative proximity to restaurants and shops that we can reach on foot. The site is literally just steps from the lake and park, and the area is lovely and quiet. We also enjoyed the spacious back yard and spent every evening enjoying the dark skies after sunset. There was also a large tent pitched in the back yard in case somebody wanted to "camp" outdoors - which we did NOT! Instead we opened all the cabin windows to take advantage of the cool breezes while sleeping in a very comfortable queen-sized bed. The cabin is nicely and generously furnished, including television and wifi. There is a bit of a glimpse of the owners' family - just enough to make it feel homey. The kitchen is well-supplied in case you don't want to eat every meal out, and the bathroom has a GREAT shower! In addition to dishware and cookware, full-size refrigerator, oven, stove, microwave and coffeemaker are included, as well. One of the things we look forward to is the farmer's market on Tuesday mornings. We know we can grab great, local fare and then come back to barbecue in that fabulous back yard. We plan to return this summer and stay in the same location.
